Google Calendar ↔ Calendly
Keep Calendly Aware of Your Google and Outlook Schedule
Calendly only reads one calendar at a time. SyncCal mirrors your other calendars into the one Calendly watches, so bookings never collide with hidden commitments.
How to sync Google Calendar with Calendly
About 4 minutes. No credit card required.
-
Identify the calendar Calendly checks
In Calendly under Calendar Connection, note which single calendar provides your conflict information. This is the one SyncCal must keep populated.
-
Connect your Calendly conflict calendar to SyncCal
In SyncCal, connect that calendar (Google or Outlook). This becomes the destination.
-
Connect every other calendar you want considered
Add your personal Google, work Outlook, iCloud, or any CalDAV calendar that holds events Calendly should respect.
-
Configure one-way sync into the Calendly calendar
Set each extra calendar to one-way sync into the Calendly conflict calendar. Mark the synced events as Busy so Calendly blocks those times.
-
Hide event details
Enable Remove Branding (Pro) and the title rewrite option so the mirrored events show as Busy rather than exposing personal details.
-
Test a booking link
Create an event in a non-Calendly calendar. Within two minutes, the time should disappear from your Calendly booking page.
The Calendly conflict problem
Calendly is brilliant at booking, but it only watches one calendar at a time for conflicts. The moment you have a personal Google Calendar holding the dentist appointment, a CalDAV work calendar holding standups, and Calendly looking at your Outlook calendar, you start getting double bookings.
How SyncCal fixes it
SyncCal mirrors events from every calendar you care about into the single calendar Calendly checks. The mirrored events are marked Busy so Calendly blocks those slots, but you keep the original event titles and details private.
Setup checklist
- One destination calendar (the one Calendly is connected to)
- One or more source calendars to mirror in
- One-way sync from each source into the destination
- Title rewrite enabled so events appear as Busy

Questions about Google Calendar and Calendly sync
Why does Calendly double-book me?
Calendly only reads conflicts from a single calendar account per user. Any event on your other calendars is invisible to it. SyncCal fixes this by mirroring those events into the calendar Calendly does watch.
Will the mirrored events expose my personal event titles?
No. SyncCal can rewrite mirrored events to show as Busy with no further detail, so Calendly sees the conflict without leaking personal information.
Does this work with Outlook calendars on Calendly too?
Yes. The same pattern works if Calendly is connected to your Outlook calendar. SyncCal mirrors your Google, iCloud, or other calendars into Outlook instead.
Is this faster than upgrading Calendly to read multiple calendars?
Calendly's multi-calendar conflict checking is paid per seat. SyncCal Free covers up to two calendars; Pro covers unlimited. For most users SyncCal is the cheaper path.
